Eur-Oceans Model Interfacing Database - This database of European ecosystem models includes model descriptions, schematics, parameters, equations, and developer contact information.
CDIAC list of Pacific Ocean Models - Ocean carbon cycle models used for the North Pacific Carbon Cycle Variability and Climate Change workshop
Dynamic Green Ocean Project - This project brings together physical, chemical, biological and paleo-oceanographers with a common interest in modelling and its applications to Earth system problems, to develop a new, more comprehensive model of the oceanic compartment of the Earth system; with a view to improving our understanding of the functioning of the global ocean in the past, present and future.
Ocean Carbon Modeling Intercomparison Project Phase 3 (OCMIP-3) - comparison of modeled and observed estimates of interannual variability of air-sea CO2 fluxes. Although 2005 marked the end of the funding period for this effort (from the EU NOCES project), analysis is ongoing (until the end of 2006).
Automated Ocean Carbon Model Diagnostics (AutoMOD) - related to OCMIP-2, OCMIP-3, and beyond: An interface is being constructed to automate model-data comparison. The goal is to provide, rapidly, a standard set of analyses on new model results, in order to take advantage of what has been done in past model comparison efforts. Those comparisons were all effected manually at great expense. By July 2006, modelers will be able to use the AutoMOD interface to submit their output from new simulations (e.g., for CFC's or interannual variability). Then within 24 hours, a suite of standard analyses will be run automatically and returned by e-mail as a detailed PDF report. That report will contain comparison of their model to data and to other models in the database. By the end of 2006, a more flexible interface will allow modelers to select the type of analyses to be performed and the models to be compared. Features may also be added to help observationalists compare new data sections to available models in the AutoMOD archive.
