This year's plenary sessions will be as follows:
The 19th WMO/IAEA Meeting on Carbon Dioxide, Other Greenhouse Gases, and Related Measurement Techniques (GGMT-2017) will be held on 27 – 31 August 2017 at Empa in Dübendorf, Switzerland. The meeting will be held back-to-back with the 10th International Carbon Dioxide Conference (ICDC10), Interlaken, Switzerland.
Registration and abstract submission opens in April 2017.
Background
GGMT-2017 is the 19th meeting in a series, which was initiated by Dr. Dave Keeling at La Jolla, California in 1975. Today, GGMT is the cornerstone meeting for the observation of key greenhouse gases (GHG) and tracers, their isotopes, assessment of new techniques, standardization, quality assurance, and data products. The scope covers challenges in the field of precise measurements of atmospheric greenhouse gases, data utilization and integrated products and observational network design. It provides an excellent platform for all scientists in this field to exchange the latest scientific findings and serves as the scientific backbone of the Global Atmosphere Watch Programme (GAW) of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), which has provided the umbrella to all GGMT meetings. Since 1997 the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna joined WMO due to the increased use of carbon isotopes in studying the carbon cycle.
The GGMT-2017 conference will cover the following topics:

The 2018 GRC on Ocean Biogeochemistry will focus on processes that occur at and between marine interfaces. Oral and poster presentations and discussions will address, without being limited to, biogeochemical fluxes between the atmosphere and the ocean; between the surface, intermediate, and deep waters; and between the deep ocean, the seafloor and the sub-seafloor. Socio-economic aspects will also be considered.
The conference will be held on the campus of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), which is situated on the slopes of Clear Water Bay, and offers panoramic views of the sea. The conference participants will be housed at the Conference Lodge on the campus, in air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms.
The 2018 GRC will be preceded by a Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on Ocean Biogeochemistry, open to graduate students and postdocs interested in marine biogeochemistry and related fields. The GRS will provide a forum for early career researchers to present and discuss results from their research in a peer-to-peer setting in advance of the GRC.
Applications for this meeting must be submitted by June 10, 2018. Please apply early, as some meetings become oversubscribed (full) before this deadline. If the meeting is oversubscribed, it will be stated here. Note: Applications for oversubscribed meetings will only be considered by the conference chair if more seats become available due to cancellations.
