The Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR) has announced that Emily Twigg has been appointed as the next SCOR Executive Director starting in June 2023. We would like to warmly welcome Emily, and very much look forward to working together for the benefit of the marine biogeochemistry observing community. Emily replaces Patricia Miloslavich who will continue to serve SCOR until the end of June before starting her new position at the Australian Antarctic Division. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Patricia for her outstanding commitment in serving the ocean science community and the support for IOCCP activities over the past several years. We wish her all the best and many successes in her new role.
